However, unlike the micra, the bottle opener is more of a struggle to use. I would have to think twice and look for an alternative before I'd consider using it. With the micra, it seemed like it was a little longer and fit the curvature of the bottle cap for better leverage. Also, this tool has a file with serrations on both sides, which is nice, and the tools are accessible from the outside of the handle, which is also nice. However, if I were a designer, I would have masked the edge and portions of the file that are exposed when closed such that it didn't snag the inside of your pocket.

I am your typical young adult, I run my errands, hang out with friends, love to walk in the woods, and casually run several times a week. I had worn Merrells for a long time. I had purchased the Merrell Chameleon several times in the early models, but the new ones are too clunky for me. The last time I went shoe shopping, I couldn't find anything I liked but I settled on a pair of Ecko sneakers. They were sporty, but they weren't very supportive and I missed the durability of the Merrells. I didn't feel comfortable when I wore them off-road and for good reasons.

Well, they were wearing down after 7 months, and I began looking for a replacement. I went to the website of a large shoe store near me and looked around. I still don't care for the new Merrells and I was thinking I may have to settle for a normal running shoe...then I discovered this new category called "trail runners". It provides the comfort of a REAL shoe (not a sneaker) combined with the traction and durability to be comfortable off of pavement and flat surfaces.

I went to Amazon.com and browsed men's trail runners...found some nice looking shoes, good prices too. I had it narrowed down to 3 shoes, but this one stood out to me the most. I kept reading reviews of the Xodus on other sites and they were all 4 or 5 start reviews! Runners World gave it editor's choice out of the 10 shoes they tested and it is well earned. I said "what the heck" and bought them.

Well let me tell you that these are the most comfortable and well built shoes I've seen in a long time. The Arch-Lock system isn't intrusive and it serves well to keep my feet from slipping inside the shoe. The colors are sporty and attractive (at least the black/yellow). I love the fact that they are so light yet so durable. I've always been a fan of Vibram soles and that's what I loved about the Merrells but now it's on these. I think I might buy a second pair.

Sizing: My feet are a little bit wider than normal but these aren't uncomfortable at all. I typically wear an 11.5 and was afraid these might be a little short so I ordered a 12. I think an 11.5 would have been okay but I'm not dissatisfied at all.

Also for the price I paid ($45.52), WHICH mind you is about 60% off MSRP, I will recommend them to everyone. I would have been happy to pay $85 for this shoe, but thanks to Amazon I didn't need to.

I am a fifty year old average built male and have been running since my teens, minus a year or two. I run two hours daily (daily), which turns out to be about twelve miles per run. I have a tendency to daydream while I run and if the shoe does not feel or fit right, fantasy land does not exist. I have run in about every shoe made and did not get particular until a few years ago. I now only buy Asics, but sometimes stray to another brand just for a bit of adventure. I tried the Asics Men's Gel-Pluse Running Shoe from the 1st of September until now the end of October 2009. I have a few months to go before I change them, since I wear them completely out about every four months (devastate them at six months, which I do not recommend). I am fairly impressed with the land and the wear on the sole. I have used this shoe during the summer/fall time so I cannot say how it does in the winter months in the Tacoma/Seattle area. The landing is particularly soft and of course there are no blisters (ever) or break-in time for this brand. You put them on and they are ready to run. The color selection was a little drab, but if they offered it in neon pink I have to wonder if I would purchase it. This shoe, like many others, has a problem when it gets wet. The laces will not stay tied, so double knot them when it is raining. When the shoe gets wet it will throw back any needles, dirt or gravel into the vamp, wedging themselves between the sock and medial. Eventually it works it's way into the shoe, forcing one to stop to remove it. This is because the tread of the shoe has so many gaps, which trap particles. I have found this problem to be systemic with all running shoes though. The shoe does dry quickly without loss of structural integrity. When I bought the new Blaze, the installation was a snap: I removed the old light from the durable quick-release mounting it came with, and snapped the new light on. It took ten seconds. The light ships with a set of alkaline batteries inside. Industrial design does not get better than that.

My observations after several days of use indicate that illumination in the two steady-on modes is sufficient to spot dangerous irregularities in the road surface while moving at a brisk pace; naturally, I prefer the "high" mode, which noticeably outshines my powerful headlamp. The "Superflash" mode, as they call it, will get people's attention from a considerable distance, which is most important at intersections and especially in inclement weather. A big bonus of this mode is that the flash interval is short enough to still provide useful frontal illumination. I really like the Superflash function on this light; as "be seen" lights go, this model has few rivals, if any, at the present time. This really will boost your confidence among auto traffic because any motorist who can't see this beacon could not possibly pass the vision test at the DMV.

There are certainly more powerful bike lights than this one, including a new quick-release, Lithium-Ion-powered light I tested from another company that is slightly bigger than a Chapstick tube, possibly twice as powerful as the 2w Blaze, but also twice the cost. The Blaze is the pinnacle of AA-powered bike lights at the moment, representing a worthy compromise between the high-end lights and the low-budget, low-performance ones. Forza is a great cool down workout. I use it to warm up or cool down from other workouts. You do feel a bit in the shoulders but otherwise it is more of a relaxing workout. I know alot of people dig the yoga stuff so if you do but want something a bit more in motion; this is most likely a fit.

I would also recommend to LARP kids and people who are wanting to get started in working out but are worried about early failure do to intensity. The reason is, it doesn't get the heart rate up too high but does work the body and would make a great spring board exercise routine. For LARP players, its a workout that involves sword swinging muscles and works them repeatedly so you are less likely to grow tired while beating on your best friend.

Now for the down side, the DVD menu is like a bad bootleg as was already mentioned. Thats about all that needs to be said there.

Second, if you already know a martial arts: DON'T BOTHER. Nothing in this will sharpen an already developed style. Coming from a Tai Chi sword background, I find it difficult to perform her unexplained stance and grip. If you don't know anything about sword fighting, don't worry about this. If you do, she goes very little into stance and nothing into hold of the weapon. This is fine because she is doing an aerobic routine and not teaching sword techniques. I just find myself wondering if my hips and bellybutton are in the right place when it is not part of what she is trying to teach. All my flaw, not hers. I expect others to have the same problem.

Lastly, the workout is not hard. If you are a workout nut and want to up your ability.... not it. If you want something different but with the same level of intensity... not it. If you want a cool down or an off day workout - GET IT! It's a long slow workout and has its place, just not as a replacement to your current workout.
